Short turnaround!! Sydney Water Local community support closing 9th June 2017 (NSW)

Local community support

Their grants help schools, community events and local organisations who work hard to make their neighbourhoods great!

They’ve been part of Sydney’s local communities for over 125 years. These grants are a chance for them to give back to the communities we live and work in.

They’ll give up to $1,000 to support projects or activities that benefit the local community. This may be in cash or they can:
  • offer their volunteers help with your project
  • loan portable water refill stations for community events
  • help fundraising activities such as school fetes and fairs
  • give reusable water bottles for your school or sporting group
  • help with an environmental clean-up or build a community garden.

You can apply if you’re from a community organisation in Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Illawarra.

Your organisation can be a:

  • public school with a focus on priority funded schools
  • charity in health, welfare, environment, children and youth (must hold a charitable status with the ATO)
  • community event or activity
  • community sports organisation
  • not-for-profit aged care or childcare facility.
