Funding for Parenting Education programs

A small grants scheme is available through the Resourcing Parents Project for parenting education activities located in Sydney Local Health District (up to $2,000).

Funding is not presently available for other regions.

The small grant scheme is proudly supported by Families NSW to encourage and assist not-for-profit agencies (for example pre-schools, early intervention services, health, non-government agencies, councils, schools) to deliver parenting information, support and education initiatives to families in their community who have children aged 0-8 years.

The events funded through the Small Grants scheme must  be held in the Sydney Local Health District. The SLHD is comprised of seven complete Local Government Areas (LGAs): Ashfield, Burwood, City of Canada Bay, Canterbury City, Leichhardt, Marrickville and Strathfield.

In addition, two of the four Statistical Local Areas (SLAs) of the City of Sydney LGA are included within SLHD’s eastern boundary. These are the Sydney – South and the Sydney – West SLAs. See map for the exact boundaries.

The 2017 Autumn funding round for Sydney District Small Grants is NOW OPEN and will close at 5pm on the 31st of March 2017.
