Dignity First Fund
The Queensland Government established the Dignity First Fund in 2016 to deliver innovative responses that help people experiencing homelessness to live with dignity.
The first $2.5 million funding round closed on 30 September 2016, with 24 applications receiving funding for a diverse range of projects that are delivering a wide range of essential services to homeless people in our community.
On 15 February 2017 a second, $2.5 million funding round was announced that will open on 15 March 2017.
This round seeks practical proposals that help and prevent homelessness or meet the immediate needs of people experiencing homelessness to live with dignity.
Preference will be given to proposals that:
- target services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, youth, women and children escaping domestic violence, older people
- respond to homelessness in regional and remote parts of Queensland.
Applicants must have an active ABN and deliver the funded service in Queensland.
