The $297.7 million Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) supports the Australian Government’s commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.
The program will fund projects in regional Australia outside the major capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra.
The Community Investments Stream will fund community building activities including but not limited to, new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, and leadership and capability building activities. These projects will deliver economic and social benefits to regional and remote communities.
The minimum grant amount is $5,000 and the maximum grant amount is $10 million, however given the nature of eligible projects we expect most grants will be under $100,000.
You must complete your project within 12 months of executing the grant agreement with the Commonwealth and by 31 December 2019.
Applications for the Community Investments Stream open on 18 January 2017 and close on 31 March 2017.
Join their interactive and practical information sessions on the Building Better Regions Fund, to find out more about the grant funding available and how to apply.
As well as providing detailed guidance on the fund, these information sessions will also provide an opportunity to connect with other local people and organisations from regional, remote and very remote communities interested in harnessing the potential of Australia’s regions.
