Brisbane City Council’s Environmental Grants provide funding to community based groups and non-profit organisations to undertake environmental initiatives that address local or citywide community environmental issues.
Funding round dates
Applications are currently open and close at midnight on Monday 7 November 2016.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by January 2017.
An applicant should be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation.
An unincorporated not-for-profit organisation or community group may also apply, under the auspices of an incorporated not-for-profit organisation prepared to act as a sponsor.
The sponsor must be able to accept legal and financial responsibility for the applicant’s project.
Applicants must not have any overdue Council grant acquittals, or outstanding debts with Council.

Submit your application online. The online application system allows you to save, develop and print out applications before you submit them.
Funding amounts range from $1000 to $20,000.
